Open House/Ice Cream Social

Here is a summary of the information you received at the Open House.
  • School begins promptly at 8:15 a.m. in homeroom. Paid service of before-care is 7-7:45 a.m.
  • First dismissal is 3:35 p.m. Students with a D or F in any class must report to tutoring 3:35-4:15 p.m. If a student with a D or F does not attend tutoring, they will earn a referral.
  • Students of good academic standing (A, B, or C) may attend silent study hall, clubs, or tutoring from 3:35-4:15 p.m.
  • We expect all students to attend in dress code the first day. This includes wearing a red ICMS polo that is tucked and belted pants or shorts. All hems are no shorter than two inches above the knee. Please review your handbook for all dress code expectations.
  • To determine an excused absence, parents/guardians should call the front office or send an e-mail to Ms. Ewell or the Advisory teacher prior to or within 24 hours of the student's absence.
  • Students will not receive credit for assigments and tests during unexcused absences.
  • The Agenda is the Advisory textbook. Students will maintain a neat and organized Agenda, and they will write daily classwork and homework. If a student damages or loses the Agenda (i.e. tear pages, write non-academic messages), the replacement fee is $7.
Students and parents must sign the Irvington Way Contract, the Behavior Accountability form, and the Acceptable Use Policy. Return this paperwork to your Advisory teacher.
